Legends' Way will transform the exterior of the Roker End, giving supporters the opportunity to secure a permanent place within a new area celebrating the history and people of Sunderland AFC.
At its heart will sit the Wembley Path, celebrating one of the most iconic moments in the Club’s history following the 1973 FA Cup Final, linking the statue of Bob Stokoe with a soon-to-be-installed statue of Jimmy Montgomery.
14 Legend Stones will also be embedded within the path following a fan vote, allowing supporters to honour key figures from the Club’s history, from league title winners to cup heroes.
As part of the wider transformation of the stadium exterior, the historic ‘Welcome to Sunderland’ sign from Roker Park will also be installed on this side of the stadium, greeting thousands of fans arriving from the city each matchday.
